Some people, such as myself, love to exercise. Others, not so much. People exercise for different reasons. Some just want to lose a few pounds, others are seeking a transcendent experience by participating in extreme or risky sports, and everything in between.
No doubt, exercise is a critical factor in overall health, wellness and happiness. Scientific research has shown that people who exercise regularly, tend to be: 1) happier 2) do better academically 3) have a sharper intellect 4) have increased memory retention 5) and have a higher sense of general well being, than those who do not exercise regularly. A book I read several years ago, called ’Spark’ by John Ratey, cites scientific research that shows how exercise impacts our lives. Fitness is not just a physical thing. Its psycho-emotional and spiritual as well. Exercise is also a very important part of cleansing. Some people who get into health, start to do a lot of diet adjustments, switching to vegetarian or vegan diets, doing cleanses, such as the master cleanse, colonics, infrared saunas, etc. And that’s very good. But its not enough, to just move things out. Some of the toxins, that have been in the body, have been there for so long they became part of the tissues and the bones, and when you start to do a lot of cleansing, and those toxins move out, then there are literally empty spaces left in the tissues. The way to fill them, is to rebuilt this tissue in a healthy way, and the only way to do that is through phsyical exercise. Brian Clement, a doctor and researcher of nutrition and health, and founder of the Hippocrates Institute, had said in his talks that he does not travel anywhere where he can’t exercise and use a sauna, because those two things are imperative parts of his daily health routine. The sauna, of course, is an age old form of detoxing. Perhaps, nowadays, its seen as a bit of a luxury. But in reality its a necessity for basic health. Every body accumulates toxins, which cannot be excreted, exhaled, or talked out. The sauna allows the body to release these toxins through the skin. The Sweat Lodge is the indigenous form of the sauna, that includes methods for spiritual healing, where spiritual toxins could be removed as well. Unlike, traditional sauna, the infrared sauna detoxes industrial heavy metals and chemicals, which our modern western civilization is so abundant in nowadays. So if are committed to detoxing, consider getting your own infrared sauna. You can get a portable one that folds and unfolds. Be careful of imitations from China that say they are infrared, but are subpar in quality. Check out these 2 really cool fitness products I saw, that make following your daily exercise regimen so much easier to fulfill: BodyBoss 2.0: 1st Home Gym You Can Take Anywhere Simulate thousands of dollars of gym equipment in one concept. Bring the gym to you! EMPACK:The Weight Training Backpack This practical & durable backpack effortlessly goes where you do to make working out simple (I'm not endorsing these products and don't get paid for promoting them. These are genuine finds that I thought were so cool that they simply had to be passed along.) I’m sure you’ve seen people who force themselves to buy a gym membership at the start of the year, thinking that if they paid for it, they’ll feel obliged to go. They go for a few months, and then, get too busy, get lazy, get distracted from their goals, etc. When it comes to your health, though, you have to own it, like nobody’s business. Because in fact, its not anybody’s business. No other third party you can go to, no doctor, no healer, not even a personal trainer you hire, can own your health for you. You live with yourself 24-7 and only you can make yourself eat healthy, exercise, associate with healthy people, manage your life in a healthy balanced way, raise healthy kids, etc. At the end of the day, you are the one making all the decisions in your life, by which you heal yourself, (or not). I hope that 2017 is the healthiest year of your life! I can drink a shot of wheat grass juice to that!
