The Beauty Way for Deep Healing

It takes a long time of devoted practice to get to any level of proficiency with any sort of craft, art, or skill. Perfection is a nice ideal, to keep in mind, but many masters get to perfection and choose to never enter. They turn around and come back to the lower planes, to help everyone else. To stay at perfection, destroys that perfection, because then it becomes stagnation. Growth at any level is more spiritually beneficial.

If you find that you are disappointed at all of the problems in this world or in yourself, then focus on personal growth and improvement of the world around you, a little bit every day, in the spirit of service. ~ Arriale Starbird

I’ve had some conversations with a friend recently, who is currently in the phase of healing, in which he is releasing all sorts of negative attachments, wounds from the past, contracts that no longer server, etc.

He is more or less a beginner on the path of healing, and he is very idealistic. Its a fascinating thing to me that at that stage, many people have a certain optimism regarding healing, that can be harmful (to themselves). He wishes to create a type of miracle where all of his problems, and all of humanity’s problems can be disappeared in the blink of an eye.

I have to say that, miraculous healings are possible. Miracles are real and truly magnificent expressions of the divine when they happen. And it certainly is a wise idea to be open to them happening at any moment.

Joe Dispenza’s healing journey is a perfect example. He broke his back, and then healed himself with his own mind, with visualizations, meditations, and changing his energy, by accessing Spirit directly. He would do this for several hrs per day, every day, for weeks, until he was cured. Everyone is capable of doing these kinds of things. Human potential is truly immense.

But the important thing to remember, is that kind of transformation, comes from a Higher Power/ Source/ God. It doesn’t happen by our own human power. And yet it also won’t happen without our focused intent, effort, and a strong desire to heal. It is a kind of a mystery how that fine dance plays out between the human level and the level of Spirit, for a healing to take place.

The practical reality of healing, is that a healthy/ healing lifestyle, the type of healing that is built into your daily routine, diet, relationships, worldview, how you go about life, is actually what makes or breaks your healing journey. The key to that kind of living, is being in harmony and right relationship with the Universe. In the language of the Q’ero shamans, whom I studied with and whose lineage I carry, it is called being in Ayni with the Universe. Ayni means right relationship or balance. When you are in right relationship with the universe and the creative force that sustains all of life, your entire life becomes like a continuous miracle - also called the Beauty Way. In Star Wars, they called it being One with the Force. When all of your actions come from this oneness, you embody the miracle.

If you have severe illness, or experiencing a crisis, that means you have wandered off your path and have lost some or all of your connection with your Higher Power, and are out of harmony with the Universe. In that case a dramatic intervention from Spirit may be needed. However, if you harmonize yourself with Source every single day, and live and dream your world into being, consciously from that place, then the small every day miracles that pepper your life, are a much more peaceful and sustainable way to live, where those severe illnesses and crisis may never enter the picture, to begin with.

Like the Zen saying goes, ‘Before enlightenment, carry water, chop wood. After enlightenment, carry water, chop wood.’

Oftentimes perfectionism and desire to attain instant results to the exclusion of effort, is actually a symptom of a core wound, that has to do with self esteem, never feeling good enough, and feeling that you have to be super human to receive validation from the people you love.

Another reason why sometimes people want immediate results, could be a carry over from a certain western mentality that some people have about the medical system, where they want to be able to eat crap, never exercise, not take care of themselves, but then go to the doctor and get a pill that will bring them back to normal. Like an absolution of sins.

One of my Shamanic Healing Mentors, from the Four Winds Society, Marcela Lobos, mentioned a case that she had, where she cut a lot of negative cords of attachment for a client in one session. The negative cords of attachment are like energetic ropes that bind a person to another person, place, or event in the past. There are also light and luminous, love based threads of connection that are positive to have, and these form where there is true love and/or healthy commitment. The dark cords of attachment, on the other hand, are connections that are disempowering to both parties involved; they are essentially fear-based. They are toxic, and while taking healthy energy, also inject negative energy into a person’s energy field. Marcela saw a lot of of these cords on the client that were suffocating his life, and she cut all of them. Then she did not hear back from that person for a while. When he contacted her again about a year later, he said that after all the cords were cut, he almost couldn’t function. He lost his job, moved to live with his brother, and couldn’t work for a while. My own intuitive sense is that he felt very disconnected and was trying to figure out who he was.

Marcela said that this was a lesson for her, because even if we are harmonized with toxic things, it may not be a good idea to do too much healing too rapidly. It can rip the floor from under people, and without another foundation to stand on, they may have a healing crisis. People say they want change, but in fact, only in small doses usually.

In my own experience, babies and children respond to rapid healing very well, because they are not yet fixed in their beliefs and lifestyle. But for most adults, especially those who have rigid established patterns of belief and behavior, or severe trauma from the past, it is much better to move slowly, consciously, and consistently through their healing process, as well as being very gentle with themselves.

I had heard of a similar case where a group of witches wanted to burn all of their karma in one lifetime. They did a ritual to do so. And after that, each of them had something really tragic happen to them. Something along the lines of, getting cancer or other diseases and dying, getting hit by a car and becoming paralyzed for the rest of their lives, etc. Most of them ended up dead or in wheelchairs.

Karmic debt must be paid. In one way or another. Energy cannot be destroyed, only transformed. A healing miracle is not like a magic trick that makes cancer, karma, or a problem simply vanish. Someone somewhere pays that debt, solves that problem, or transmutes that cancer. It is an act of grace and a teaching from the universe, God, or a Master Healer. I see Jesus Christ as a Great Shaman, who took a lot of dark karma from humanity and processed it through his own body, as some Shamans do. He paid the debt, and it killed him. But with his connection to his Higher Power, he was resurrected. 'Let not my will, but thy will be done.'

However, even with that gift of grace, humans still must learn the lessons that are meant for them to learn, and grow and mature spiritually. Perhaps even more so. Those who truly want to be healed of their negative karma and attachments, must be prepared to give something in return. There has to be a reciprocity. That keeps you in balance and harmony with the Universe. You must also do the inner work that is required to learn the lessons, that would lead you to a higher frequency of being, so as not to create that kind of negative karma in the future. Thus, it is much better to burn your karma through meaningful, compassion and love based daily work and acting in the spirit of service in the world, that spiritually benefits all involved including yourself.
